Program details

Cusco - Mollepata - Challacancha - Soraypampa

First day of group hiking with an english speaking guide.

We will leave Cusco at 5:00 a.m. and head to Challacancha, passing through the village of Mollepata. In Challacancha, we will meet the riders and the rest of the group and begin our trek. We begin our hike in a beautiful valley, surrounded by the most important snow-capped mountains such as Humantay and Salkantay.

Our camp will be at Soraypampa, and in the afternoon we can visit Lake Humantay, which is an additional hike. Optional visit to Humantay Lagoon: After lunch in Soraypampa, we highly recommend a hike to Humantay Lagoon, where you can experience the magnificent view of the snow-covered Humantay Lagoon.

Soraypampa - Abra Salkantay - Collpapampa

Second day of group trekking with english speaking guide.

After breakfast, we set off for the Salkantay pass, which offers exceptional views of the snow-capped peaks of Salkantay.

From here, we'll descend and have time to appreciate the growing vegetation of the ecosystem. Our camp will be at Collpapampa, in the middle of the rainforest with hot weather and mosquitoes.

Collpapampa - Huiñaypoco - Hidroeléctrica Machupicchu - Machupicchu Pueblo

Third day of group trekking with an english speaking guide / Overnight in Machupicchu.

After an early breakfast, we'll descend through a dreary forest, where vegetation grows brilliantly, among this exceptional friendliness, for example, a wide variety of orchids, bromeliads, bomareas and so on.

We'll also meet families from Wiñaypoco and Granadilla, where we'll take our vehicle to the hydroelectric power station where we'll take the luch.

From here, we continue by train to the town of Aguas Calientes, where we spend the night in a hostel.

Machupicchu Pueblo - Machupicchu - Machupicchu Pueblo - Ollantaytambo - Cusco

Last day of group trekking with an english speaking guide.

The big day has finally arrived. After all the effort put in during the trek, we are rewarded with the privilege of visiting the marvelous citadel of Machupicchu.

It is now time to leave the hotel to take our 5:30 a.m. bus to reach our morning destination of Machupicchu. Here, our guide will share his knowledge of the Inca community's lifestyle while showing us the main attractions, such as the temples, altars, residences, and work areas of the Incas. After this enjoyable tour, we will gain a better understanding of the culture and life of the Incas.

After the tour, we will take the bus to the town of Aguas Calientes, where we will have time for lunch and to say goodbye to the town of Aguas Calientes while it remains in our memories.

Optional visits: You can relax in the hot springs of Machu Picchu Pueblo. Do not forget to bring swimwear.

Finally, in the afternoon, we will take the train back to Cusco.
